Health Visitors
are qualified nurses with special
training and experience in child health, health promotion and
health education. They are here for everyone: families with
children, couples, single people, young people and older people
District Nurses
working from the health centre
provide a daytime nursing service to housebound patients. Out of
hours nursing can also be arranged through them.
Midwives
and doctors share the responsibility
for the health of mothers and babies before, during and after
childbirth. There is a choice of several styles of care, all of
which have good records for safety and satisfaction
